Silane coupling agents are small organosilicon molecules based on silicon atoms combined with alkoxy, chlorine or alkyl groups. These materials can hydrolyze in the air. Silane coupling agents are classed as organic/non-organic compounds.
Silane coupling agents contain a hydrolytic group capable of reacting with non-organic materials (glass, metal, etc.) and an organic functional group that is attractive to organic materials (various plastics). In this way, it couples organic materials with non-organic materials to improve mechanical strength, water resistance, adhesion, etc. Silane coupling agents are widely used for resins, glass fibers, paints, adhesives, primers, etc.

LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) is the name for silicone that is supplied in the liquid state before it is cured into rubber. This type of rubber is usually thermally cured. Because LSR is initially in a liquid state, it can be formed by LIM (Liquid Injection Molding) through automated measuring, mixing and forming processes, unlike HTV. Once cured, it has the intrinsic properties of silicone rubber. In addition, it can be used to coat various industrial materials by using various coating methods. It is widely used in daily life and industry. Its applications include infant products such as nipples and toys, living products like diving masks, snorkels, and cooking utensils, covers, motor parts like connector seals and O-rings, electrical and electronics products like OA rollers, keypads, as well as coatings for textiles, sleeves, and airbags. The uses for this product continue to expand.
General-purpose LSR is a liquid silicone rubber with two main ingredients. Resin and hardener are mixed at a 1:1 ratio in weight and then thermally cured. This product is suitable for injection molding because it has a high curing rate and excellent mold release properties and because the viscosity of the resin and hardener are similar. This product is eco-friendly as no byproducts are created in curing and it is widely used in the manufacturing of infant products, daily living products and medical products on account of its excellent transparency and mechanical properties after curing.

RTV(Room Temperature Vulcanization)
RTV-1 is one-component room temperature vulcanizing silicone that cures to silicone rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature. Most RTV-1 products are condensation cure type producing three types of by-products, acetic acid, oxime, and alkoxy. RTV-1 gives excellent adhesion to most substrates without primers. Also, it offers outstanding weather-ability assuring semi-permanent use and excellent heat resistance from -50℃ to 200℃. With its excellent electrical properties, RTV-1 is used primarily as an adhesive, sealing and coating material for various industries.
RTV-2 is two-component and heat curing silicone. Depending on its curing mechanism, two types of RTV-2 are available, a condensation cure type and an addition cure type. The addition cure type is more common. It is capable of deep section cure; its cure rate can be controlled. RTV-2 has some unique features including excellent electrical insulation, heat and cold resistance, weather-ability, and shock absorption. These special characteristics will suit the rising demand for a higher level of electrical properties and heat stability - assuring reliability and quality of the finished products. RTV-2 is used primarily as an electrical insulating and potting materials for electrical and electronics components, vacuum casting molds and various forming molds.

A flexible package of solventless polymers and solvent dispersions for further formulation with a choice of controlled release additives, crosslinkers and a catalyst concentrate. The system features a volatile acetylenic alcohol inhibitor. Thus it is ideal for laminate and liner production in temperate climates and for use on temperature sensitive substrates.

A temperature dependent maleate ester inhibitor is featured making the system ideal for high speed, continuous, laminate and liner production under the most demanding conditions.
An easy-to-use emulsion coating system comprising base and catalyst emulsions, which are combined in equal quantities for coating. The system may be further compounded with thickeners and wetting agents so allowing its use under a wide range of process conditions and on a variety of paper substrates. The system may be used on-machine or off-machine and has been specifically optimised for the production of siliconised greaseproof and vegetable parchment food release papers.
A flexible package of base, resin and catalyst emulsions, which may be further compounded with thickeners and wetting agents, to give coating compositions suitable for use under a variety of processing conditions and on a broad range of paper substrates. The system may be used on-machine or off-machine and is ideal for the production of hand peeled liners for envelopes and hygiene products.

Pressure Sensitive Adhesives
High performance silicone pressure sensitive adhesives are critical to the success of many modern industrial products and processes. Their ability to bond and protect even under chemical and physical extremes, at which organic products would rapidly fail, is exploited in numerous masking applications, electronics fabrication, automotive and aerospace assembly, splicing of polymer webs including silicone coated papers and films, heat sealing equipment and in the fabrication of wind turbines, whilst more recently their unique advantages have been applied to the production of protective films for flat screen displays. Peroxide Cure Adhesives
A range of solvent-based silicone pressure sensitive adhesives intended for the most demanding applications, where performance retention at extreme temperatures (up to 270°C), in aggressive chemical environments (as found in etching and soldering processes) and on exposure to ionising radiation (as encountered by high flying jet aircraft). The adhesives, when dried and cured, are transformed to an inert viscoelastic mass capable of bonding even the lowest energy substrates and absorbing significant physical shock. KCC Corporation offers a choice of cold blend and bodied adhesives delivered as clear xylene solutions at 50% to 60% silicone solids, which may be used as supplied or further compounded with organic peroxide curing agents.
Platinum Cure Adhesives
A range of novel solventless and solvent based silicone pressure sensitive adhesives has been developed by the KCC Corporation to meet the unique needs of the protective films market. These reactive compositions, which are compounded with silicon-vinyl and silicon-hydride functional silicones, are dependent on the inclusion of small amounts of a platinum catalyst (a few parts per million) to effect their cure. A selection of low and high peel adhesive bases alongside a platinum catalyst concentrate is offered, from which the end-user can formulate to fully satisfy specific end-use performance requirements.
